Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates Begins Using of the GlucoCare™ IGC System

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - November 1, 2009 — Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates, an organ procurement organization which provides organ and tissue donors from the state of Kentucky, has begun using the GlucoCare™ IGC System for its entire service area, which includes Kentucky and areas of West Virginia and Indiana.

About Pronia Medical Systems, LLC – Pronia is a Louisville, KY-based company founded in January, 2007. The company’s first product is the GlucoCare™ IGC System, an automated decision support system for the management of hyperglycemia in critically ill patients. Currently the system has 510(k) clearance for two Yale protocols with glucose targets of 90-120 mg/dl and 100-139 mg/dl. Many other protocols that address the needs of specific patient populations are currently under development.
