The GlucoCare™ IGC System Is Launched at Westchester Medical Center

VALHALLA, New York - February 9, 2010 — Pronia Medical Systems, LLC is pleased to announce that Westchester Medical Center (WMC, Valhalla, NY), a 600-bed tertiary care medical center has implemented the GlucoCare™ IGC System in its intensive care units. WMC is a major referral center and includes a level I trauma center, burn unit and a multi-organ transplant center of excellence. “We at Pronia are very excited about this opportunity to help WMC care for its most critically ill patients,” said Dr. Michael Marvin, Chief Medical Officer, Pronia Medical Systems.

About Pronia Medical Systems, LLC – Pronia is a Louisville, KY-based company founded in January, 2007. The company’s first product is the GlucoCare™ IGC System, an automated decision support system for the management of hyperglycemia in critically ill patients. Currently the system has 510(k) clearance for two Yale protocols with glucose targets of 90-120 mg/dl and 100-139 mg/dl. Many other protocols that address the needs of specific patient populations are currently under development.
